Works-in-Progress Series: The European Neighborhood Policy and Civil Society in Georgia, Tbilisi, Georgia, May 18 - Thijs Rommens (ENG).
American Councils and the Caucasus Research Resource Centers (CRRC) present the 16th talk in the Spring 2011 Works-in-Progress Series:
"The European Neighborhood Policy and Civil Society in Georgia"
Presenter: Thijs Rommens, K.U. Leuven
The talk will focus on Georgian NGO engagement with European Union policies towards Georgia: specifically the European Neighbourhood Policy. Based on ongoing research in Georgia, the talk will look at the extent to which Georgian NGOs are responsive to EU policy and how resonant the idea of Europe and European integration is within the context of civil society development in Georgia.
Thijs Rommens is a doctoral candidate in the Institute of International and European Policy at KU Leuven.
